The first symposium of the Society for Immune Polymorphism (SIP) was held from October 7–10, 2024, in Sassenheim, The Netherlands, under the theme “Evolution and Characterization of the Immune System”.
This event brought together leading experts in the field to share valuable insights, attend insightful lectures, and engage in thought-provoking discussions. The symposium was organized by Ronald Bontrop, Loren Gragert, Jill Hollenbach, Jim Kaufman, Martin Maiers, and Paul Norman, with support from the Biomedical Primate Research Center (BPRC). A highlight of the event was the inaugural Jon van Rood Lecture, delivered by Ronald Bontrop.
We are thrilled to share that the TxMiller Foundation will continue its role as the main sponsor of the SIP symposium. We’ve committed to supporting the 2025 and 2026 conferences, both financially and as the organizing office.
The next SIP symposium is scheduled for November 3–6, 2025, at the Van der Valk Hotel in Sassenheim, The Netherlands.
