At TxMiller, raising awareness for stem cell donation is one of the pillars of our mission. We believe that informed young people can make a life-changing difference for patients who depend on a suitable donor.
By increasing awareness, and engagement, we aim to grow the donor registry and improve the odds for every patient waiting for a match.
In order to create this impact we work together with various organisations in the Netherlands and other countries.

Why we focus on awareness
Awareness is the starting point for action. Many young people are unaware of how stem cell donation works, how great the need is, or how profoundly one donation can impact a patient’s life. By educating communities — especially student athletes and youth — we help them understand not only the process, but also the power they hold to give someone else a future.
How we create impact
We promote awareness through storytelling, community involvement, and active engagement:
- Sharing personal stories from donors and recipients to inspire others.
- Providing clear, accessible information about blood cancers and the stem cell donation process.
- Participating in student sports events to reach young, healthy individuals who are often preferred donors.
- Supporting registration drives amongst young students and encouraging individuals to join the Dutch stem cell registry.
