ASHI Travel Awards 2025

Supporting Future Leaders in HLA & Immunogenetics

At the TxMiller Foundation, we are proud to continue our partnership with ASHI to support the next generation of researchers in HLA and immunogenetics. As part of this collaboration, we have offered four exclusive Travel Awards to recipients of the ASHI Scholar Award for the 51st ASHI Annual Meeting (October 6th – 10th, 2025).

These Travel Awards are designed to help promising scholars advance their academic and professional development. ASHI Scholar Award winners have received a monetary award from ASHI. In addition, TxMiller has provided financial support for travel expenses: up to $1,500 for awardees traveling within the United States and up to $2,000 for those traveling from outside the U.S. (in compliance with the ASHI travel policy).

The awardees of 2025 are:

  • Abeer Madbouly – Adjunct Assistant Professor, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BICB) at University of Minnesota
  • Ryan Urbanowicz – Research Scientist of Computational Biomedicine at Cedars Sinai, US
  • Aleksandar Senev – Associate Director at Northwestern University – The Feinberg School of Medicine
  • Konstantin Doberer – Assistant physician, Division of Nephrology and Dialysis, at Medical University of Vienna, Austria

By investing in these researchers, we aim to strengthen the field and foster innovation in HLA and immunogenetics. We look forward to seeing the impact these scholars will make!
